Beverly Glenn-Copeland - Keyboard Fantasies
Regular price £24.00
Finally have our hands on Seance Centre's reissue of BGC's third album from 1986, which was originally self-released only on cassette. The repress of her self-titled record a month or two back caught a lot of attention, but I personally prefer what's on show here. Here she moves from the folk-orientated jazz stylings of the earlier records towards ethereal new age electronics and bucolic, accidental techno, and that aesthetic shift provides the perfect context for her ghostly vocal to shine. Proof once again that some records are just born in the wrong time - sounds as fresh and vital now as anything being made today.
