Anton Pearson has today shared the second track from the forthcoming album, Driving Through Belgium.
Check out the video for Teeth To Cut The Grass below.
About the track, Anton explains, “I tried to build some drones here that felt more abrasive and less comfortable in a kind of overwhelming way. For the end I ramped up all that noise and fed in more drones, abandoning any sense of tonality. I pushed a bunch of these through amps to give more growly harshness. It’s probably the most uncomfortable part of the record but I felt it was needed to ground the more tranquil moments.”
The accompanying video was directed by Nespy5euro, whose previous visual credits include work for Flea & Thom Yorke, Viagra Boys and Sean Lennon). The director explains: “A swarm of ghostly sheep crosses a colorful world, moving quietly through the track as if they had always belonged there. Little by little, the distortion fades and the video ends in an empty green field, leaving the feeling that the sheep may never have existed at all, except somewhere inside a distant memory.”
Anton will be appearing as main support to Upsammy & Valentina Magaletti at the ICA on June 16th. The album, Driving Through Belgium, is out July 3rd - order HERE.
