We've talked long and hard about the band's unique combination of dub-y post-punk, art rock and lyrical ingenuity, and here they bring some of those influences to the fore, while introducing a few curveballs along the way. Can, Bush Tetras, Flying Lizards et al make obvious sense, though the inclusion of that Wilco tracks makes a connection with their pop-motorik i'd not previously put together. A great mix, classic tracks and unexpected oddities alike, and more than anything else, a reminder to listen to more Exek whenever you've the chance.
